| Hiya Beaders! The classes are finally scheduled for June! Whew! I hope to have the pictures up this weekend. The samples are at the shop (the 2 bracelets) and I hope to have the lariat sample fully done by Saturday. We got in some new colors of 11/0 and 8/0 seed beads....soooo pretty! Also have out a new batch of semi-precious stone. Lots of bright, chunky stone and some pretty mother of pearl (MOP) beads that are great for the summer season. We will be closed June 2-June 5 to go off to the Bead & Button Show to take some classes. We will reopen on Saturday, June 6 at 10am for those of you not going to the show. We have some exciting news! Watch for the Fall issue of Stringing....Michelle designed a bracelet that will be in the Bracelet Gallery. AND...there will be a special publication coming out in September called "The Best of Stringing". It will have the best projects of Stringing and will have 20 new project included in it as well...one of Michelle's necklaces will be one of those projects...so watch your email. We'll have a special event planned for this! Yipee!!!! We are also creating some "Snap Packs". What the heck is a Snap Pack? It's a stringing project that can be done in a SNAP! It will have all of the beads to make a necklace or bracelet for an affordable price. Need to make a quick gift?....get a Snap Pack! Need a quick teacher's gift for the end of the school year?....Get a Snap Pack. All of the packs are different...no 2 alike! They contain stone and glass beads. Check 'em out! The newest issue of BeadStyle is now out for sale...pretty, simple projects! We are also working on a simple idea for more end of school teachers gifts...quick, inexpensive and a great gift for both men & women. All for now...see you soon! | We survived the Show! But are still recovering from a bathroom update...hopefully all will be done by the end of next week. As a result of the bathroom re-do we haven't even touched our new goodies purchased at the show! Keep your fingers crossed that we can play with them this weekend! Check out the Photo Album page to see a general list of materials for Book Thongs! A pretty, fun way to mark your place...a book, a planner, or great for a guy gift for that male reader in your life! Also, we've added more Snap Pacs....they are all one of a kind and we will keep adding more to the selection....bracelets and necklaces that have all the beads (minus metal components) and the clasp. You provide the crimps and the beadwire. How simple can it be--coordinating beads all in one pack! If you love gunmetal....check out the 3 new gunmetal chains that just came in today. The small crinkle-y one is also back in stock. While I write this, Pat is working on one of the new products from the show...hmmm....wonder what that is??????? Keep checking back to see the new stuff from the show. Hope to have out the new Metal Products by the end of next week--they are pretty cool--and some additional new sizes and colors of flat backs (and just a smattering of other Swarovski goodies). We did also see the NEW 5328 Bicone (the display was a HUGE 8inch version of the bicone). You will be happy to learn that the shape is not greatly different from the current bicone...just SPARKLIER! | We will be closed for the holiday weekend! Whew! A three day weekend for us....Yipee! Before we close....on July 2 & July 3, we will be having a red, white and blue 25% off sale. All red, white and blue beads will be discounted 25%-this includes Swarovski and seed beads (some restrictions apply and will be posted in the store). Not going on a vacation?--have a "Stay-cation" and bead at home to celebrate Independence Day! The new beads are out! The new glass, new stone and the antique copper filigree. Also new 3mm & 6mm bugles and 2 new (new to Miyuki this year) 11/0 seed beads. We are working on getting the new 15/0 seed beads packed and out....hopefully by mid week next week we'll have them all out. A lot of the seed beads have been restocked as well. | Wahoo! Michelle's 1st published piece made the cover of "The Best of Stringing"! The middle project is Robin's Nest. We are out of copies (they just came in today) but more are on the way. The fall issue of "Stringing" should be in next week (with the other copies) and Michelle will have a bracelet in that magazine as well. The cover was a total SURPRISE! |
