Class Policies

  • Classes are non-refundable
  • Classes must be paid in advance in order to reserve a spot. You can pay over the phone by credit card if you can’t make it into the shop.
  • Classes will start at their appointed time. If you can’t make it to a class, please call us to reschedule. If you do not call us, you will forfeit your class fee – no exceptions. You must take a class within 30 days from your original class or you will forfeit the class fee.
  • Classes do not include materials unless otherwise noted.
  • 75% of your class material must be purchased from Beadalotta.
  • The class fee for all classes is $22 unless otherwise noted. Classes include printed instructions and weaving/stringing materials. You will also be welcome to use in-class tools.
  • Please have your materials ready before class. If you need help picking out your colors, just ask.
  • Please allow 45 minutes to an hour to obtain your materials. If you take your class on a Saturday, please purchase your materials on a day prior to class. We open at 10 am and class starts at 10:30 am.
  • If additional supplies are needed during the class period, please obtain the item number and quantity and provide this information to the instructor so an accurate list of materials can be charged to you at the end of class.
  • If you lose your instructions, there will be a nominal fee to reprint them. Instructions will not be emailed.
  • If for any reason class is cancelled (foul weather, the flu), we will reschedule, refund your fee, or apply it towards a store purchase (cannot be applied towards purchase of a gift card).
  • Please limit cell phone use in class.
  • Snacks and drinks are welcome.

Shop Policies

  • If you are not sure where an item belongs, please bring it to the counter so we can return it to its proper place.
  • Credit cards not printed with your name (i.e. your husband or parent’s name) will not be accepted. Cash is always welcome. If you are paying by check, give us a call to let us know if someone else is coming to pick up your items.
  • We accept most returns for store credit. Books, magazines, finished jewelry, cut chain, trunk show items and sale items cannot be returned.
  • We accept defective (not damaged) merchandise for refund.
  • There is a $30 fee for a returned check.
  • To save time, please write down the numbers of all untagged items before bringing them up to the register. If the item has a loose tag in the bin, please take one and match it with the correct item in your tray.
  • Children are welcome in the shop, but we ask that you keep them well behaved. Please don’t allow them to climb under tables or grab/shake the beads. If something is broken, you will be responsible for it.
  • Please limit cell phone use in the shop.
  • Please understand if we have to cut a conversation short. We want to be sure we adequately help all customers.
  • Special orders are allowed but they require a pre-payment. If you order an item, the entire amount must be purchased and it cannot be exchanged or returned.
  • We will not tolerate shoplifting. All shoplifters will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
  • If we’re not busy, we’re happy to help with design and technique. If there is anything we can do to make your shopping experience better, just let us know.
  • We do give a 15% discount on purchases of $25 or more to designers that have a resale certificate for their jewelry business. We will need to have a copy of the certificate to keep on file and the discount will not be applied to sale items, trunk show items or classes. We have the right to exclude specific items from this discount.
